Installation & Setup
System Requirements
evrExpanse 7 requires macOS 14 or later. Compatible with Intel 64-bit and Apple Silicon Macs.
Installation
Open the DMG file and drag evrExpanse.app to the Applications folder.
Permissions
evrExpanse requires Full Disk Access to operate correctly — it reads and writes to external drives, arbitrary user-selected folders, and system library paths.
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access, click the lock, and enable the toggle next to evrExpanse.
License Activation
On first launch, a startup window prompts for license activation. Enter the license key and the email address used at purchase, then click Activate. A confirmation message appears when the license is validated successfully.
The license file is stored locally on the machine. To transfer a license to a new machine, deactivate it first via the evrExpanse → License… menu (⌥⌘R), then click Deactivate.
Trial Mode
evrExpanse 7 includes a free 15-day full-feature trial. No credit card required. All workflows and export formats are available without restriction during the trial period.
After the trial expires, the application remains available in demo mode with the following limits:
- Metadata Export: 1 file per session
- Transcoding: 1 file per session, maximum 60 seconds
- Apply Finder Tags: 1 file per session
Uninstalling
Locate evrExpanse.app in the Applications folder and move it to Trash. License files and application support data are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/EVRapp/evrExpanse and can be removed manually if needed.
